Supporting Evolution at the Grass Roots - Building Better Bridges

Alliance For Science Board Chairman Irving Wainer will be chairing a symposium at this years' national meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in San Francisco. The symposium, "Supporting Evolution at the Grass-Roots: Building Better Bridges," is slated for Friday, February 16, from 1:45 - 4:45 PM.

Much of the emphasis will be on events celebrating evolutionary science on the occasion of Darwin Day, February 12th, especially plans for Darwin Day 2009, the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth. There will be several speakers, including Michael Zimmerman, the creator of Evolution Sunday and the Clergy Letter Project. See the attached press release for more details about topics and speakers.
