- Darwin Day Celebration
- This is the primary organization working to promote the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin. The Alliance for Science is working with the Darwin Day Celebration, so you may want to check the AfS Darwin Day page for updates.
- Evolution Sunday 2007
- On 11 February 2007 more than 650 Christian congregations from all over the country came together to discuss the compatibility of religion and science. For far too long, strident voices have been claiming that people must choose between religion and modern science. More than 10,000 Christian clergy have already signed The Clergy Letter demonstrating that this is a false dichotomy.
- Berkeley Evolution Education Site
- This may be the best evolution education site anywhere on the Internet. For those who want to focus on the essentials, the Evolution 101 Tutorial is a tighly organized beautifully illustrated short course on evolution. There is also a sub-site with special resources for teachers and an amply cross-referenced Paleontology Portal.
- Evolution and the Nature of Science Institutes (ENSI)
- The main objective of ENSI is to improve the teaching of evolution in high school biology courses by encouraging teachers to teach evolutionary thinking in the context of a more complete understanding of modern scientific thinking. Their web site is well organized and features numerous detailed lesson plans in the nature of science, evolution, origins of life, and genetics/DNA. This site is a "must see" for high school biology teachers.
- Voyages Through Time
- This is a fully integrated high school science curriculum. There are six major modules: Cosmic Evolution, Planetary Evolution, Origin of Life, Evolution of Life, Hominid Evolution, and Evolution of Technology. This material is copyrighted by the SETI Institute, and involved NASA, the California Academy of Science and San Francisco State University, with support from an NSF grant. The content, published by Learning in Motion, is not online and the modules cost $199 each, or $999 for the set of six.

- A huge repository for information on all aspects of the creation-evolution discussion. If you are looking for information to refute even the most obscure creationist argument, you will probably find it here.

- National Center for Science Education
- The National Center for Science Education is the premier national group defending the teaching of evolution in public schools in the U.S. They provide reports on threats to science education across the nation.
- The Clergy Letter Project
- The Clergy Letter Project lists more than ten thousand clergy who have endorsed a strong statement of support for evolutionary science.
- American Geological Institute
- The American Geological Institute also monitors news about evolution teaching state by state. They have a U.S. map that you can use to locate "battleground" states, and a chronological listing of major developments. The AGI Non-Technical Primer on Evolution is an excellent resource.
- Miller and Levine
- Ken Miller is a biologist at Brown University, and a well known spokesman for evolution. He has been an important witness in several evolution-related court cases, including the famous Kitzmiller, et. al vs. Dover Area School District

- The Skeptics Society is the other major national organization battling irrationality. They publish Skeptic magazine.

- Philosophy of Biology is a tremendous resource for just that.
- National Capital Area Skeptics
- The National Capital Area Skeptics is an independent nonprofit educational and scientific organization that promotes critical thinking and scientific understanding. NCAS is based in the Washington-DC, Maryland, and Virginia community, where it serves as an advocate for science and reason, actively promoting the scientific method, rational inquiry, and education.
